The Brazil World Rally Team has confirmed it will switch from MINI to Ford for the 2012 World Rally Championship.

The team joined the WRC last season running a MINI John Cooper Works for Daniel Oliveira, although he only failed to finish near the points on any of his outings in the car.

Having been named as WRC Team entrant on the latest version of the entry list revealed by the FIA, the team has now confirmed it will switch to a Ford Fiesta WRC for its 2012 programme.

That programme, which will get underway in Portugal, will once again see Oliveira at the wheel of the car alongside co-driver Carlos Magalhaes.

The car will be serviced and managed by the Stohl Racing outfit run by former WRC driver Manfred Stohl.
