Rallying legend Francois Delecour is to take in the Tour de Corse next month in a Renault Megane RS.

The 49-year-old, who finished sixth overall on the Rallye Monte Carlo back in January, is one of a number of drivers set to compete on the island event in the Megane, along with Emmanuel Guigou and Robert Consani, something that will boost Renault's chances of extending its lead over Honda in the IRC 2WD Cup.

"From what I can see, [the M?gane] should be very well suited to Corsica: it's progressive to drive, very neutral," said Delecour. "I like the rally very much and we've had plenty of success there."
