Loeb wins Acropolis

Sebastien Loeb wins in Greece, 40 seconds up on team-mate Mikko Hirvonen; Jari-Matti Latvala takes the final spot on the podium.
Sebastien Loeb has taken the victory on the Acropolis Rally of Greece today, the sixth round in the 2012 World Rally Championship.

Loeb began the final leg 10.2 seconds up on Petter Solberg, but when the Norwegian went out in the first test of the day, he was left with a commanding lead. Indeed such was the margin that he could afford to stop in SS20 and change a puncture and still remain comfortably out front. Loeb eventually won by 40 seconds - and he also took the honours in the Power Stage too.

Mikko Hirvonen took the runners-up spot, to give Citroen its second 1-2 finish in succession, while Jari-Matti Latvala had to be content with third on his comeback. Latvala had been challenging Loeb for the win, until he hit a bank in SS14 on Saturday and lost over 3 minutes with a puncture.

Behind, Mads Ostberg and Martin Prokop were fourth and fifth, with Thierry Neuville completing the top six.
