The 2012 World Rally Championship season once again saw Sebastien Loeb come out top, the ninth time he has become Champion, and also the last, following his decision to step back and end his full-time rally career.

Loeb wasn't the only winner, however, as Jari-Matti Latvala, Mikko Hirvonen and Mads Ostberg also won, while a number of other drivers' marked themselves out as ones to watch out for in the future, such as Evgeny Novikov, Ott Tanak, Thierry Neuville, Craig Breen and Elfyn Evans.

But who impressed you most?

I thought that too - didn't he win over Loeb and the crop of the WRC? WRC misses out on the talent, Meeke, Mark and David Higgins, Guy Wilkes - the list is endless. Solberg walking (and if you read between the lines, I think M-Sport wanted him to cough up some money) then what chance is there of another British WRC champion, who is struggling to find the funding? For the people who disagree with my comment, Craig has worked bloody hard, found the funding, learned and succeeded. Credit where credit is due
