Dani Sordo began the 2012 World Rally Championship season brilliantly with a second place finish in Monte Carlo.
He also took points in New Zealand, Germany and Spain and in total won 17 stages. Victory in the IRC on the Tour de Corse was also a notable achievement and his efforts were enough for him to convince Citroen to re-sign him for 2013.
However, with the Prodrive MINI WRC programme limited by a lack of funds, a full campaign was reduced to just seven WRC events with the John Cooper Works WRC car.
Sordo was also hit by mechanical issues and failed to finish in Sweden and France. The biggest disappoint though, probably came in Argentina, where an alternator problem forced him to retire in the very final stage while running in third on his 'guest' outing with Ford.
In the end you gave him an average mark of 6.275 out of ten, putting him just ahead of Petter Solberg and Ott Tanak.
