Jari-Matti Latvala again proved very quick in 2012 and his victories in Sweden and Wales were matched by five other podiums, with second places in Germany, France and Spain as well as two third places in Greece and Finland.
In total he took 58 stage wins, just five less than Sebastien Loeb.
However, despite taking third place in the drivers' championship, albeit only securing it at the last round, his season was marred by far too many mistakes.
Indeed he crashed out in Monte Carlo, failed to finish in Mexico and blew the chance of good results in Portugal, New Zealand and Sardinia. He was also challenging Loeb for the win in Greece too, until he hit a bank in SS14, it is because of all that then, that the ex-Ford man was ranked only seventh in this year's vote, with you giving him an average mark of 6.298 out of ten.
