Hirvonen to start 13th in Mexico

Starting order for day one in Mexico set
Citroen's Mikko Hirvonen will start 13th and run as far down the order as he can on the opening day of Rally Mexico.

Hirvonen got the choice of 'prime spot' after topping the times in the qualifying stage. The Finn opted for P13 so that those ahead will sweep the road and leave a quicker line behind.

His rivals all followed suit, with Michal Kosciuszko, who was slowest, getting the dubious 'honour' of opening the stages and thus being the primary road sweeper.

Rally Mexico now continues with SS1, Guanajuato (1.05 km), and SS2, Parque Bicentenario (2.60 km), running this evening respectively at 20.09 hours and 20.47 hours [all times local]. The event starts proper on Friday.
