Puncture costs Novikov Acropolis lead

Overnight leader Evgeny Novikov drops to eighth overall after a puncture in SS4
Qatar M-Sport WRT driver Evgeny Novikov has lost the lead on the Acropolis Rally of Greece after suffering a puncture in SS4.

Novikov began the second leg with a 30.3 second cushion, and he extended that margin to 39.1 seconds on the opening test of the day, the 17.41 km Klenia Mycenae 1 test, posting the joint fastest time with Jari-Matti Latvala.

However in SS4 he had to stop and replace the right rear tyre, losing over four minutes and dropping down the leaderboard to eighth overall.

Novikov's misfortune, promotes Latvala into P1. The Finn heads Dani Sordo by 15.6 seconds. Thierry Neuville is third followed by Andreas Mikkelsen, Nasser Al-Attiyah, Martin Prokop and Mads Ostberg in positions 4 through to 7.
