Kris Meeke has backed Craig Breen to follow in his footsteps and win the European Rally Championship title in the future.

Breen and Meeke are currently sharing test-driving duties in Peugeot's R5-specification 208 T16 and Meeke - who recently made his return to the World Rally Championship little more than a month after driving a Peugeot 208 T16 as the course car on the ERC's Geko Ypres Rally - believes that the young star from Ireland has what it takes to make the grade.

"He's shown in the junior categories that he's a clever guy and able to win championships," Meeke noted, "He's got a fantastic opportunity with Peugeot and the Peugeot Rally Academy, and he's getting more and more experience and building up his speed on each event.
