Rally Poland: SS7 cancelled

Kapciamiestis 2 test axed on WRC Rally Poland
The organisers of Rally Poland have cancelled SS7, the repeat-run through the Kapciamiestis stage.

A statement on the event's official website read: “The stage was cancelled for two reasons. There were a number of spectators standing in unsafe places and the condition of the track surface had deteriorated badly.”

The Kapciamiestis test had already been shortened from 26.61 km to 12.92 km prior to the off due to heavy rain this week and a deteriorating surface. However it was used this morning as SS5.

Rally Poland will now continued at 15.45 hours local time [14.45 hours UK time], with SS8 - the 17.97 km Margionys 2 test.

Sebastien Ogier currently leads the event post-SS6, 1.5 seconds up on Andreas Mikkelsen. Mads Ostberg is third followed by Jari-Matti Latvala, Kris Meeke, Juho Hanninen, Mikko Hirvonen and Thierry Neuville in positions 4 through to 8 [full story - HERE].
