ERC: Chardonnet submits late entry for Rally Estonia

2013 Citroen Top Driver and WRC 3 champion Sebastien Chardonnet to take in the next round in the ERC in Estonia as part of his preparation for WRC Rally Finland
Sebastien Chardonnet submitted a last-minute entry for auto24 Rally Estonia this week, round seven in the 2014 FIA European Rally Championship.

The talented Frenchman, last year's Citroen Top Driver and WRC 3 champion, is contesting the 2014 WRC 2 category in a DS3 R5. His appearance in Estonia will be his first in the ERC and means that all R5 cars currently eligible for competition use will be represented in the ERC for the second rally in succession.

“It's a real pleasure and a great opportunity for me to come to Estonia with the DS3 R5 to gain experience and to build my confidence,” said the 25-year-old.

“My objective here is to progress on each stage and also to prepare for Rally Finland which is the next round of WRC 2. A real rally is always far better than tests to practise.

“I am very excited to discover the Estonian roads in the ERC and I'm going to try to make the most of it.”

Chardonnet and co-driver Thibault de la Haye are among 65 crews contesting the Otepää-based speedfest from 17-19 July.
