World Rally Championship runner-up Jari-Matti Latvala says he is delighted with the latest generation Volkswagen Polo R WRC, branding it 'faster and better than the 2014 car'.

The German team has dominated the series since its debut in 2013 and is aiming to notch up a third drivers' and manufacturers' title winners with its unchanged driver line-up of Latvala, Andreas Mikkelsen and Sebastien Ogier.

Having played second fiddle to Ogier in 2014, Latvala is hoping the new Polo R WRC will give him the advantage he needs to challenge his all-conquering team-mate.

"I am not the only one to feel that way - S?bastien and Andreas agree with me. There is no question about it, we are looking forward to the 2015 season."
