Dani Sordo has been forced to pull out of Rally Sweden for Hyundai Motorsport due to injury and will be replaced by Hayden Paddon.

The Spanish driver suffered two broken ribs while training near on his mountain bike near his home. Paddon will takeover Sordo's drive for Rally Sweden and Hyundai are hopeful the 31-year-old will be recover in time for the third round of the WRC in Mexico, scheduled for the 5-8 March.

Kevin Abbring will make his debut for Hyundai in its second team, Hyundai Mobis World Rally Team, taking over from Paddon in the number 20 car.

"First of all we would like to send our best wishes to Dani for a quick recovery and we look forward to seeing him back in the car," Hyundai motorsport team principal Michel Nandan said. "We have decided that it's best for Dani to miss Sweden in order for him to recover and to be 100% fit for Rally Mexico next month."

Sordo's team-mate Thierry Neuville will continue in his number seven Hyundai i20 WRC.
