Flawless Sebastien Ogier is targeting his fourth consecutive World Rally Championship victory in 2015 but feels his Citroen and Hyundai rivals are closing the gap on his Volkswagen Motorsport squad.

Ogier has enjoyed a perfect start to the season - taking victory in every round - but he has never finished on the top step of the podium in Argentina in his WRC career, something the Frenchman wants to put right this weekend.

"I have never won the Rally Argentina, and would obviously like to stand on the very top step of the podium there for the first time," Ogier said.

The reigning WRC champion looks hot favourite in Argentina having won the last five WRC rallies in a row counting back to Rally de Espana last year. Despite his complete dominance in his Volkswagen Polo R WRC machine, Ogier feels his rivals are improving at every event and anticipates a tough battle in Argentina.

"We have seen at recent rallies that the opposition at Hyundai and Citroen are closing in and battling for victory with us," Ogier said. "Compared to Mexico, the surface at the Rally Argentina is not as aggressive on the tyres and the temperatures are far lower."

Ogier received some more good news after his victory in Mexico, as his win saw French drivers draw level with Finland for most WRC event wins - both are now tied on 172 victories. Naturally, the 31-year-old is aiming to continue his winning run and put his nation clear of Finland.

"I have been told that France pulled level with Finland in the all-time list thanks to my victory at the Rally Mexico. The goal now is obviously to move into the lead."
