Andreas Mikkelsen might be second in the World Rally Championship standings but is yet to get any higher on the rostrum than third in 2015, something which he hopes to improve on in Italy.

The Volkswagen Motorsport driver has enjoyed a consistent start to his 2015 campaign, notching up four podium appearances in five events, punctuated by a DNF in Argentina. The Norwegian rally driver has been satisfied by his performances and with the updated Polo R WRC machine he will be targeting his best result of the year in Italy.

"I have finished third four times so far this season," Mikkelsen said. "I would like to follow on from these performances at the Rally Italy and definitely want to finish in the top five - preferably even higher.
