WRC Rally Finland: Neuville okay to start

Hyundai repair Thierry Neuville's i20 WRC after his shakedown crash
Hyundai's Thierry Neuville will be able to start Rally Finland, despite his big crash on Thursday morning in the shakedown.

Neuville went out near the end of his first run through the 4.62km Ruuhimaki test, felling a tree in the process. Neuville and co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul both escaped unharmed, but their Hyundai i20 WRC suffered pretty heavy damage to the rear: “Big thanks to my team! Our i20 will be ready for the SSS,” the Belgian said, via Twitter, and after FIA officials gave it a once over.

Hyundai has also posted a picture of the car, with the caption “almost finished ahead of tonight's SSS”.

Meanwhile, WRC2 runner Craig Breen should also be okay to start this evening in his Peugeot 208 T16, despite rolling multiple times in the shakedown, when a tyre came off its rim in a high-speed corner.
