Kris Meeke heads the order on Rally Finland following Friday's opening loop, with early rival Ott Tanak dropping back in Surkee 1 due to a suspension issue.

Meeke, who was fifth quickest on Thursday night in the short 2.31km Harju 1 super special, took the lead immediately this morning, with the quickest time in Mokkipera 1, 2secs up on Jari-Matti Latvala and 2.9secs up on Tanak.

The Briton was then second in SS3 and SS4, before winning SS5 and then coming second in SS6 to head back to service with an 18.8sec lead over Latvala.

Meanwhile, Latvala won two tests - SS3 and SS6 - but lost out in SS4 after hitting a bank and picking up a puncture, losing over 15secs compared to the times posted by Meeke and Tanak.

Sebastien Ogier holds third, 23.5secs off the lead and 4.5sec adrift of his VW team-mate, despite being first on the road.

Behind, Andreas Mikkelsen is fourth, 5.9secs shy of P3, and only 0.2secs up on the lead Hyundai of Thierry Neuville.

Further back, Craig Breen is sixth, slipping down two places in SS6, ahead of M-Sport's Mads Ostberg and Eric Camilli in seventh and ninth, sandwiching Hayden Paddon's Hyundai.

Tanak rounds out the top-ten, having lost over 30secs with his dramas in SS5, and over 20secs in SS6, as he limped through.

Of the rest, Esapekka Lappi heads WRC2 - and holds P11 overall, ahead of Dani Sordo stand-in Kevin Abbring and closest class rival, Elfyn Evans, 20.7secs adrift.
