Elfyn Evans leads proceedings on home turf as he topped the shakedown results ahead of Wales Rally GB for DMACK M-Sport Ford.

The Welsh driver pulled clear of nearest challenger Dani Sordo in the Hyundai by a full two seconds over the short 3.32km Clocaenog stage. Ott Tanak, who confirmed his switch to Toyota earlier this week, claimed third on the shakedown results to start his WRC title charge on the front foot with M-Sport Ford team-mate and championship leader Sebastien Ogier down in seventh.

Jari-Matti Latvala made it four different manufacturers in the top four spots in the Toyota in the shakedown ahead of Hyundai duo Thierry Neuville and Hayden Paddon with Ogier keeping ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen in the fourth Hyundai entry at Wales Rally GB.
