Also i think that using the Royal Welsh Showground was a huge backward step after the service Park was in Cardiff the year before, that was much better for the image of the Event
You cant use a Tin Pot facility like the RWS on an Event of this Calibre, you need the Glitz of the City and to be close to all the facilities like the Big Posh Hotels and Restraunts to not only attract the spectators out but to take the maximum benefit commercially from the Magnitude of the event. Teams had to travel over an hour back to Cardiff late at night and early in the morning
Then the icing on the cake is to cherry pick all the very best stages with in the route distance permitted, the exciting stages with easy access in and out, its not Rocket science really...
