Feeling generous you could blame Peter's crashes on trying to be faster then his car allowed. It would mean more consistent driver knowing his place would have a chance to beat him.
But TBH I am not sure about it as Peter crashed in every race I bothered to check sometimes even saying he was not pushing at the time. And his crazy run through the field was just a sign of desperation I guess.
Nice guy but he might be done.
On another note WRC is quite pointless for some time already. The whole idea to get away from groups A and N and making a fake WRC cars which you cannot even dream about buying made the whole thing not appealing. Me and many people I know stopped following Rallies about that time and WRC is dying because of that. It's beyond me why not to get back to group A so your Impreza STi or EVO RS could be as close as possible to a rally version and actually mean something. Manufacturers mostly voted to quit the circus so what's the point?
