Conditions were excellent - warm and dry. Loeb made three runs yesterday, Thursday - the car ran well, his times were good.
I met Sebastien three times as I happened to be at the official "turn-around" point of the practice section, about two thirds of the up the mountain, a place called The Devil's Playground (elevation 3,898 meters)
I was thrilled to see him after the first run. I was stunned and speechless. I did not expect my good fortune of being at the right place at the right time. I managed to wish him luck in english while he allowed me to shake his hand. He was very cool and humble, a true professional. After his third run, Seb carefully autographed my "Pike's Peak Spotter's Guide" a 12'' x 18" chart with the profiles of 26 car entries. The Peugeot Sport team member who was coordinating the location of the end of the practice run also signed my guide (SY). I previously implied that this was Bruno (Famin) but I was mistaken. What a morning!!
