Having looked at the top speed charts, the Ducatis are all at the bottom, some 10 - 12kph off the top 4 cylinder bikes, so much for an advantage!

Great to see Biaggi riding again, just 0.8s off the pace.

Good luck Max! :)

Feel for Greg Lavilla ... lap within a second of the fastest time, & still its not good enuff to make superpole!
Also, seems the ZX10 has had sum development - looks like the biggest improvement so far.
Looking 4ward to this race.

Is the F08 10/12 km/h slower in Q2? I haven't found Q2-data, but in Q1 Fabrizio/Bayliss were 191/188 Vs. Kagayama/Neukirchner 290/292.

So effectively +/- 1 km/h :? I assume in Q2 the Suzukis didn't break the 300 km/h nor did the F08 drop below 280 km/h

@ GAZ, Do you have another site where you get that kind of info?

It was said that the Ducati's would get a weight penalty at Valencia.
Anyone know if this has happened?
If so, it looks overdone from these data.

The problem with the Duc's is that, as far as I can see, they are as fast as the 4-cylinders, but they have a huge, and very usefull, low end torque advantage. If you want to "equalize" that advantage an increase in weight is the right thing. The handling and fuel consumption is likely going to be worse too.

It depends on their results. If you find all Duc's again in the top 10, the restricted V2 will need to be "adjusted".
What do you want.It was part of the deal to get this strange restricted V2 run WSBK...

Max Neukirchner on Pole. 1.34.8 that would not look ridiculous on a MotoGp grid

Again 4 duc's in the op 10 and 5 in the "top 11" See how the race goes. Then we'll know more...

Max 10th. Impressive ride from him. He'll be biting his teeth tomorrow...

Well said Harryx. I often wonder whether some of these guys here have ever ridden a bike, let alone compared a twin against a 4 cyl machine. Twins also conserve tyres a little better over race distance (lower revs etc), and are a lot less tiring and more forgiving if u miss a gear change etc.
