spies is a class act and will do well in WSB...whether he beats haga is debatable but he should win races next year regardless of not knowing the tracks...he is definitely the best motogp hope the US has to offer...certainly better than the current US motogp crop of overpaid underachievers (yes i know hayden won the title...but 3 race wins from 99 starts is hardly domination)...when he finally moves to gp the euros will know his name and have a bit more respect for him...when hodgson came to ama he thought he could walk it after moving from gps...he has won 1 race in the US and once he saw these guys he said that mladin would win wsb if he moved over & spies has beat mladin for 3yrs

I spoke to Doug Gonda (Spies manager) 3 days before the Yamaha deal was announced, and he stated that Spies had several offers for GP rides, but not on guaranteed factory level support teams. Spies wanted a factory level ride only, as it would do no good to pull an Anthony West and ride around on substandard equipment.
I have watched Spies since he was a kid in CMRRA. He is a winning machine, with no BS excuses for anything. For those of you who doubt his pace, look at the results of Spies & Mladin's teammates the last 3 seasons. Spies or Mladin seperated by nothing, & their teammate 1/2 a lap down in 3rd place on the same bike. Biaggi & some others always have excuses. Spies just wins.

It's funny how most of the Euros don't want Spies to come into WSBK and dominate. There's only one real threat to him....and that's Haga. Haga is one of the most talented riders on the planet but he won't beat the all out speed and consistency of Spies. The WSBK title is going back to Texas, U.S.A!

No... I think Shakers (being contracted directly to Ducati) will have either an F09 in Sterilgarda colours, or an F09 in RS09's clothing and the title is coming back to Britain... Or if it doesn't, he'll be running a close second, and will depose Fa'****'zio in 2010 for the full factory ride. Everyone reckoned Polita was such a good promotion for Sterilgarda, but Shakey smoked him, like he smoked all the rest...

Have to agree with Joshua i think Spies will just pip haga to the title - will be close though! Spies is a class act and should have no trouble learning the tracks...

Fabrizio will finish third with Biaggi and maybe even Johnny Rea battling for fourth... Can't see Tom Sykes doin much but don't know about Shakey - hope he'll do ok...
