It's good to see some U.S. guys on here right now showing their support. Ben is going to rip this year! Sucks we can't watch it over here, but any of you who watched it on SBKtv just witnessed a look at the upcoming 2009 WSBK champion.

Amazing... Does anyone think maybe Spies was sandbagging a little in first and second quali?? just sitting back and seeing what everyone else can do??
Knocking a second and a half off has best time to date and its a good thing Biaggi is riding such a terrible bike, looks like he was bagging it too

To quote myself from earlier when Smurz was the leader in Q1 "Trust me guys, Spies has got this under control. Wait and see! These guys are gonna make him dig deeeep into his racecraft and when that happens, they will realize that they've awakened a sleeping giant! (If they haven't realized it already!) Like I said in another post, Spies has made a fan outta me!" Ahead by 4 tenths on a track he's yet to even race on! Go Spies!

sandbagging is that what u call it i thought it was maybe the fact that they only have 2 qualifying tyres and 3 sessions to run in superpole and a qualifying tyres would get u about a second and a bit more maybe
dont forget on races tyres johnny rea was faster than ben by nearly half a second consistantly so i wouldnt read to much into superpole and the super sticky tyres just yet but ben will be fast no doubt about that i just dont think he will get it his own way and ride off into the sunset so easy come race day roll on tommorrow :)
