Unbelievable from Spies. Having watched AMA on Motors TV for a few years now I knew he was good, but this is simply stunning! To be this consistently fast so early on in his WSB career, on a new bike and new tracks is frightening.

I really hope he doens't scupper Haga's chances of a title lol :)

As a Nori fan (you wouldn't have guessed! lol), it seems like its time for the 'Samurai of Slide' to prove he's championship material by showing he can beat such talented opposition!

Hats off to Spies, well done mate. Just have a word with Sykesy for us will ya. Reckon he needs some tips.

To be fair to Haga he has ALWAYS been lacklustre in practice and qualifying. He usually wakes up come raceday but he can't keep starting from the third or fourth rows, he'll just keep giving himself too much to do. Even the great Rossi says that he has to be on the front row to keep up with Stoner.

It must be very galling for the regulars to see Spies this fast, this early.

Have to say, he never really impressed me before.

AMA to me was just 2 Suzukis and boring as hell, so he was only ever having to beat 1 person.

But I have to say credit where credits due, he's impressing me now !

As long as he keeps it on the black stuff i'll say he'll push Haga all the way, and may even snatch teh title. At the moment I can't see anyone else being consistent enough.
