First - Spies can't go to any factory team that has a satellite team (per new GP rule & I believe he would be considered a "rookie" since his were wild card rides in 2008), so the only factory teams he could go to would be Suzuki (no way due to obivous reasons) or Hyasaki (or whatever it becomes). He would have to ride a customer Duc, Honda, or Yamaha otherwise.

Also, why would he leave SBK? He has a great paycheck & will want to win the championship at some point soon since he won't this year due to Haga's consistency.

Second, Mladin on an Alstare bike next year is a great possibility as Checa and / or Kiyo go away. He, IMHO, would be in the top 5 every time out.

"Watch what you say, because its creating a bad image for World Supers"

Really? Because I don't think anyone outside of the 50 or so guys that actually follow the comments on crash.net actually give a sh!t about what anyone says here.

Ben has the measure of the other riders in WSB! and he is doing it on sheer ability because the bike is certainly no faster than the 1200cc Ducati's! I really hope he wins the championship, he and Yamaha deserve it! :)

Actually.. I believe the rule actually states a rookie rider may not ride a factory bike and still be considered a 'rookie' for Rookie of the Year honors.

Regardless, Tech 3 is not a factory ride, and I think the case could be made that Ben had enough Wildcard rides to not be a rookie.

There is a possibility that Mladin may do WSBK next year. I would guess that he would have to be on a Suzuki (10 plus years on the same bike) and he would have to bring some of his Yoshimura crew. And the reason I say this is possible is because no factories have committed to AMA next year. Not only that, no contracts have been renewed yet and riders like Mladin, Bostrom, and Hodgson are all in the last year of their contracts. DMG has made it clear that they don't want the factories. This maybe the perfect storm to bring those guys over. Hell, US Suzuki, American Honda, and Yamaha US all will be sitting on a pile on cash with no AMA involvement. Why not go WSBK racing?

First of all Spies is the fastest rider in WSBK by a good Margin, absolutely no way to argue that! Haga has been more consistent (ironically) and he has a point lead to show for it. Spies knows how to come from behind in a championship and win. Winning races takes care of that

As for Mladin coming to WSBK next year. I doubt it for a few reasons.
1)Like Spies, he makes far more $$ in the AMA than a lot of even MotoGP guys do. In order to go to WSBK he would have to take a BIG pay cut or find a team willing to gamble huge to get him here.
2) He is a family man now and doesn't dig the globetrotting. He flies his own plane to the races so he can go straight home after races.
3) Age :)
