ok race, bit worried about biaggi just seeming to be unwilling to try and overtake anyone. cos he has the pace for sure still. but looks like he is on a sunday run. his smooth style still works and is great to watch. but i wish he would be a bit more agressive. perhaps he is just getting old or losing the hunger. but the speed is there.

i think the duke had probably been holding station(tho hope not) then fabrizio changed his mind half way round the last lap and tried a few half hearted attempts that werent really gonna work.

shame about ben, could of been a good battle.

good race tho

tho at the end of the day darren he is still the clear leader in that team and going much better than also experienced team mate. and probably still ahead of where the bike really is. but i do agree his lack of attempts to overtake was getting annoying.

but this does happen to some riders when they get older, they never lose the skill but sometimes the hunger goes.

the speed is still there tho, as he was one of the quickest on track on a bike that isnt really there yet-compared to honda, yamaha and ducati.if any speed was lacking nakano would have him but nakano hasnt been near him yet. he just needs to be a bit more bullish, its hard to explain why he isnt.

Shame Spies went out - the fizz went out of the race with him.

Shame that Haslam couldn't get past Rea early on - he seemed to have a better pace - and amazing performance on his spare bike running a different setup. Glad that Fabrizio had a go on the last lap - that was one of the few bits of action in a fairly dull race. Shame Max couldn't put any passes together - I agree with the commentators in the studio - he is probably fine for development, but replace Nakano with a young rider who isn't afraid to have a go. I am afraid that Max is a few seasons past his sell by date now.

Please, please - no more smutty comments on this site - let's keep it clean and keep it about bike racing!

Have to say Max didn't put up much of a fight, one thing completley over looked was the fact, he had had 2 off's over the weekend so prob no spares left also he knows he needs to bring home some solid points. Spies is finding out the hard way to win the championship you need to bring home the points every weekend, Bens quick for sure but, but Haga doing what he now knows he should of been doing for years, staying on and bring it home, thats whats needed to win the championship.

Well done Haga. I think its the end of Spies' championship hopes now I'm afraid to say. Surely he can't pull back Haga now - he must be over 100 points off him. Spies is fast, but he has lost his consistency factor for now. Fabrizio has got to second now. He has raced some belting races recently.

Its an old saying, "it aint over til its over". If a rider can pull such a lead as this so early, then an equal rider can pull it back. Such is the beauty of bike racing. May I refer you to Edwards and Bayliss in the past. Rest of the season still gonna be good especially with other riders catching up too.
