Spies was absolutely gutted when he crossed the line for the last time in superpole. Shaking his head in anger and raging at the bike. Don't believe those smiles, etc... he was mighty pi*sed! Had to end some time, Spies!

Hope he gets mowed down by Haga and Fabrizio tomorrow. (not literally, obviously)

Of course he was a bit p*ssed - he's a racer! And let's not forget he comes from the Mladin school of hard knocks where rule #1 is never give an inch to anyone.

But in saying that, he was gracious enough to say he didn't have anything for Smrz instead of blaming something or someone else. And he isn't looking miserable like Mladin would be! LOL!

Looking at the picture, either Smrz said something REALLY funny (maybe about that chick behind them! LOL!) or Ben has gotten over not winning Superpole.

I'm not sure that's a chick, Dawg. I'd be damn concerned if I were Ben - It's right behind him!!

Racers get pi$$ed, I wouldn't read too much into it. Everybody knew it would end at some point, but considering that it was what it was is still no less amazing...and he's still on the front row! Look at all the guys who have been to this track many times who aren't anywhere near the front row. Wet or dry, this is going to be a damn good race. If it is wet I'll be looking for the two kaw's to be up there. Hacking has been great in the wet on some really slippery tracks in the ama races.
Can't freakin wait!!!!

The Ben is a consummate professional. Pissed while crossing the line for not getting his eighth superpoll...Gracious and respectful to Jakub...but plotting like General in his realization that he has a chance to narrow the gap by having other riders in front of Haga.

Congrats Ben. The streaks over and now you can focus 100% on the Championship.

Jesus H Cr.... Of *course* he wouldn't be happy.

Its just to the bloke's huge credit he can grit his teeth and be so bloody gracious about it.
That alone commands respect.
Real professionalism and probably a big underlying streak of genuinely nice guy.

AS for the lass I dunno. Anyone hear anything lately about Grace Jones being in for a respray?

I'm fairly certain Spies didn't learn how to be gracious from Mladin :)

An amazing run by Spies, time to start a new one and he's dead right, having some more guys up there battling can only help his chances for catching Haga. This is getting good!

Doesn't matter who lines up in front of Haga or where in the grid, come race time he will slingshot forward and will be there with the lead group after the first corner or two.

I'd bet for Spies vs Fabrizio battle, though. Smurz and Rhea would not be able to hold them two for long, one thing is a fast lap, another is a long race.
