Good win for Cal, but what about that performance from Eugene, what was it? somthing like 26th-5th, That was a Rossi type of performance from Eugene, he's got a lot of work to do now to catch cal but soon enough he's going to be the first Irish world Champion

Not just a good win, I'd say - more a display of total dominance - with a broken ankle! Can't be long before a factory SBK team has his signature on a contract for next year. Yamaha would be wise to move quickly.

What a performance from Cal and Eugene this week! These two are proving just how far they are infront of some *very* good riders in their first year in the
World supersports. A fantastic win from Cal given that he broke a bone in his ankle in 1st practice and must have been hurting during the race and for Eugene to come back from 26th to 5th was incredible! He ran through some of them like they were in 2nd gear taking 3 in one lap at one point!
Take a bow lads!

I'll be amazed and disappointed if Cal and Eugene don't get offers to race in the new Moto2 class next year.

I think it would be good for both of them if they did compete and do well in that championship, might secure them a possible MotoGP ride in the future.

mcracing.......personally,i would like to see men like crutchlow, laverty, haslem, camier and sykes all go to moto2 in the motogp series.I would hate it if they stayed in superbikes

Simon - there are hardly any bikes on the grid in MotoGP so only the absolute cream of Moto2 will be able to progress from that series.

The Moto2 bikes will be ultra adjustable so the best riders for that class will be ex 125 or 250 riders. Eugene Laverty with his 250 pedigree must be on some Moto2 teams shopping lists. Cal Crutchlow should go to WSB - he is already a fine superbike rider.

Simon, Leon Camier is too tall to race Moto2 machines, he's well over 6ft and a Superbike is his best bet for next year in WSBK I'd reckon.
If Cal and Eugene can find a decent ride in WSBK next year then I think that would be their best bet.
