There is no doubting that Rea is fast, once he is older and calms down a bit he should definitely be able challenge for the WSBK championship. Can't see him making the switch to moto gp though.

what happened with Ben?

has his unique animal imaging method failed this time? but this is still to early to predict the result, eh?

i like this dude. hopefully he will be able to challenge Haga for the championship and give his team a good memory to leave behind...

Sorry Motoman, but I think 81R does.
I wouldn't say he's a wild man, but I think it would be fair to say he perhaps would benefit with more top level track experience?

He would have to be in Moto GP within 2 years or else it would never happen- the days of seasoned campaigners like Edwards making the cross over or gone.

Today it seems you either race production bikes (SS or SBK) or you race prototype (GP) and then that's your lot.

Maybe Ben Spies will change this, but he's not a seasoned WSBK rider either. (Note WSBK, not SBK as of course he kicked ass in AMA in the 2 man show).
Hayden went from AMA to GP but apart from that glorious year of 2006, what else has he done?

Jeez, you are giving a fellow brit more stick for what happened between him and Haga than for what Fabrizio has been like for the past two years! Lost count of the times he has knocked Biaggi off and has now turned to Spies instead!

This isn't knitting people! It is 200+ bhp World Superbike racing! Argy-bargy is to be expected and I am sure that NO racer crashes into other riders on purpose, so give the guy a break eh?!

Just proves how many Haga fans there are out there! :)

@Gaz

Rea was a joke last weekend. Everytiime someone went off my friends and I would shout Outta My Way Rea and invariably it would be Mr. Rea scrabbling around in the grass or gravel.

He needs to ride very cleanly this weekend to make up for his poor riding last weekend. I think Johnny is a good rider, he's fast obviously. He just needs to settle down a bit. Maybe he was over excited with his new contract!
