A couple of good rides by Shakey. That second race battle with Yukio was a cracker. They were knocking lumps out of each other and swapping paint everywhere, then as soon as they were over the line a quick handshake and well done to each other. You just don't see that in many other sports and that's one of the many reasons I love this sport.

Shakeys been very impressive this second half of the year and being so close to grinner in the standings shows just how far he's come... hopefully he gets another decent chance next year, he'll be worth a gamble i reckon...

Shakey has done nothing of merit all season end of story.
He should vanish back to your poor old BSB where a good bike will help mask his inherent lack of talent and fool the mentally challenged into thinking he's a good rider

**** off No 67 "He should vanish back to your poor old BSB where a good bike will help mask his inherent lack of talent" . The reason he looks so called "average" this year is due to the lack of development / testing on this years bike. I also think its worth a mention that he is also a ROOKIE this year and hasnt been to half the tracks . I understand that he's 32 but dont make out he's useless . With the right team, bike and testing he could be a championship contender .

He is inconsistent, this could be because he is on a one-man team. He is not world championship material but with the right team could be a spoiler and get a few wins. Certainly not a bad or talentless rider.

So why is he any less of a title contender than Fabrizio, Rea, Haslam ? Just cos Haslam has had a slightly better season (he's only 40 points up on Shakey after all) doesn't mean he's light years ahead in terms of talent or the title contention stakes. Rea's been on a far better bike than Shakey all year - that's obvious (plus he knows the tracks from last year).

What have Haslam, Fabrizio etc... achieved in their careers anyway compared to Shakey ? Haslam's never won anything, nor has Fabrizio, Byrne however has been 1 x BSB Privateer winner, 2 x BSB Champion & 2 x Wildcard WSB race winner in one afternoon.

GIVE HIM FACTORY SPEC EQUIPMENT AND HE'LL BE UP THERE WITH THE FRONT RUNNERS..

Considering the old girl his riding he's doing a great job, down on power & revs to the factory Ducati's yet not far off in qualy & race and sometimes faster than them in practice sessions and he's the top privateer Ducati. Some people need to remember that last year the Sterilgarda team also had a much bigger budget because Dorna paid for Biaggi to ride with them, they could afford the best bits then. Also remember that even if Byrne is riding last years bike his finishing time in the races at Magny-Cours at the weekend would have won him the races last year if he was on the same bike then. That's the progress the others have made, his bike has not been developed from last year.

LOL day care is great gives loads of time for the mentally challenged to post dribble about perennial under achiever Shicane Byrne. Byrne couldn't be any more of a flop is he changed his name to Floppy Mac Floppson and he is only top private Duke due to misfortunes of other privateer ducati riders/teams so don't read to much into that little factiod. DBL "IF" my Granny had balls she'd be my Grandad know what I talking about.

i see the shakey fan boys are out ??hes had better rides than most racers in his career , rizla airwaves ,stobart etc in bsb, gps and a top ride in steril garda, and hes still not up there as he should, hes well over rated, its natural for a rider to have a reason, or an (excuse)for not doin well, its just that shakey has a shed load of them, i hear hes ordered a new ,bigger shed ?haslam or rea would put that duc up there every week
