Couldn't this do more harm than good?

Poor Sylvain has had a wretched BSB season and isn't fully fit.

He could really struggle at Portimoa and it will achieve little except dent his confidence and make the bike look weak. In todays uncertain commercial times you don't want to expose yourself to sponsors unless you can deliver.

Slyvain is a class rider, and the result at Portimao may not do him justice.

I think it's good for Sylvain and his new team. He can then go onto the Portimao test with a race weekend under his belt and will have a point of reference to go from to improve his feel for the bike.

The more the merrier as far as i am concerned as long as they stay outta the way of Nori and Ben :p

Ahh OK my bad... I shoulda read that he was racing not just testing afterwards!

Good luck to him!

Still, I dont think its fair to expect a barely fit rider to actually do well? surely its for experience only?
