He was a bit like a child being given an ice-cream and someone else comes and takes it away from him.

That's an interesting insight! And one would think not a thing to say about your #1 rider.

I just wonder how many more chances he needs,he must be the longest serving rider in WSB that's never actually won the title.
On paper he should have been champ this year, proven bike, good team, experience of all the tracks, lots of data from 2008 etc..., but of course he didn't. Can't honestly see him winning it next year either.
I don't dislike Haga, it just seems he doesn't have the consistency, for whatever reason, to become champion.

Nori wasn't the only one who thought someone nicked his ice cream! I've been to Magny Cours and Portimao for the final round and Nori has just missed out, i have my fingers crossed that next year at Magny Cours it will be a different matter.
Nori winning the championship means everything to me, it would be like Brentford(my team) winning the FA cup and England winning the World cup all rolled into one.
I still beleive he can do it no matter what anyone else thinks and i'll continue to do so until he no longer has a prospect being able to do it :)

lol very funny to see how simple things are for someones.

"Lots of data from 2008": yes for Fabrizio, but how could Haga use the Datas from him or Bayliss'? It's not a video game. Haga has a very different riding style from them.

Haga doesn't ride against weaks. He is not the only one able to fight for a tittle. Spies was very strong this year!

Moreover what would've been the 2009 season without Haga? The most boring in sportbike history!
Spies would've been too dominant without the japanese.

The 3rd rider in the WC standings has 74 points less than Haga.

The 4th has 137 less than him.

Haga is a Loser, that's obvious!

I am a Haga fan, and had hoped He would have won the 2009 title, but he didn't, and Spies deserved it...I actually feel bad for Haga, EVEN if he wins it in 2010, it will be a bit hollow, with Spies having moved on to greener pastures...sort of like when Mladin won the AMA title again after Spies defected to WSBK...A bit of a hollow victory.

I hope that Nori will succeed the next season! He is the one who deserves the championship the most of all. Only shame that he never achieved that success with Yamaha as their bikes could represent the biggest threat second season in a row.

Without Ben it would have easily been Nori's year. Yeah there were some other strong showings from Max, Fab, Johnny and few others - but none with the consistency of Ben and Nori. If Nori doesn't win it this year, he'd better retire before he kills himself trying. As clearly demonstrated, he'll chuck it with the best of them if pushed too hard. I like the guy for sure and on his day he's brilliant. But backing off for strategic purposes is not in his repertoise.
Ben won the title by using ALL the tools in the shed.
Nori, take note.
