Haga for 2010. It has to happen. He cannot fail. He showed a real maturity this year, stayed on the bike when he had to and lost the win it or bin it attitude. Great guy, everyone will be behind him. Go HAGA!!!

That's it Nori, tell them now!

I'll be there cheering you on again and it has to be 2010 for the championship.

JT will be tough as will Fabrizio and Rea but Nori will do it! :)

Go get 'em Nori. Considering how Spies swept through the series, and how well he did in his GP race with only a couple of hours on the bike, I don't think that there's any honor lost to losing to him. There are some strong competitors coming up, but I think he's settled down enough as a racer to wrap up the championship against more human opponents.

That is, if a bird doesn't kamikaze him again.

Haga will likely be a contender next year but it will be interesting to see if another narrow loss of a championship will impact him. Plus the competition next year won't be any easier even without Spies as guys like Fab, Rea, and Max all have the pace to win. Plus some newcomers may join the party at the front as well. No matter what happens it will be a great season. Can't wait.

i really hope he wins this next year
i dont want him to go down in history as one of the greats who never won the title
having said that if he thought that the 09 season was hard!!!! i personally that the 2010 grid is even stronger, with at least 10 riders and manufacturers able to win the 2010 title
That said all the best to nori, but come on to the brits :)

Nori for 2010, but it wont be easy. Rea is there and Biaggi on 2nd year Aprilia...

Saw Randy Gardner vid, rode all the 09 WSBKs.. He said the Aprilia was the best, the Ducati close, and rather slammed the Yamaha. Liked the motor and not much else. Hard to ride, iffy handling. Went out of his way to credit Spies for making it competitive. WAY out.

Interesting, because didn't make sense Sykes being THAT slow... he a fast man till 09. But then Toseland went pretty good on it in his test. My point is it is hard to know what to expect of Yamaha nxt year. 1st reflex is "it won the championship" but then you look at Sykes results and Gardner's back-to-back evaluations, bike might kinda suck.

Pass the mug - The truth is (although i think Spies would have taken the title on pretty much any factory bike) There is nothing wrong with the R1. Its won SBK titles all over the place this year. JT and CC were both real quick on it first time out. Sykes isnt quick enough to run with the front guys - that and the fact that he had to compete with Spies as his benchmark is why he was as far behind as he was.
Dont get me wrong - I like Tom but I was quite surprised when Yamaha signed him in the first place.

The interview with Gardner was really good. It was interesting that he felt the R1 was far from the best overall package and Spies won the title despite this.

It was cool that while he went out of his way to rate Rea really high he then was honest enough to say how he thought Fabs was lacking in his brain power. :D
