Aprilia star Max Biaggi leapt to the top of the timing screens on day two of WSBK testing in Valencia - but British quartet Leon Haslam, Cal Crutchlow, Jonny Rea and James Toseland were hard giving chase behind...

That's an impressive time by Max. Only Spies went quicker than that on a qualifier last March. He keeps that up through testing, I might have to rethink my 2010 predictions.

like i once said, Max Biaggi WSBK 2010 champion. Atleast i want him to be, he deserves a championship for the gr8 racer he has been.

You will always be my favorite max, go get them all :D

If it was a time trial Max and the Aprilia would walk it, it's the fastest bike out there and he can be the fastest rider.
But it's a race and 2 or 3 out of Haga, Fabriio, Leon, Johnny Rea, Cal and James will all go past in the first few laps and unless there is a very long straight for Max to go past on the extra power they will stay in front.
The only way max will win the chamionship is if the others above take points of each other and Max is Mr consistant.

Looks like we are in for some close racing next year, there will be at lest 5 racers capable of winning races so it will be fun to watch some close racing. What we will not see is the likes of Ben Spies, the meteoric, absolute display of skill that he brought with him and has taken away, he is in a class of his own! for the the JT lovers who claimed he would be as good as Spies!!....his performance today is just another mediocre result, pushing so hard that he bins it on the way to 5th, which would be 7th with others included.
