I cant beleive Colin 'the texas tornado' Edwards has been over looked so much on the voting, he is only person to have beaten Troy Bayliss in an outright fight for the championship. No offence to the other champions as they all they all deserved the titles they have won but arguable the rest have had it too easy. Ok Ben Spies has done a remarkable job this year and he will go far in motogp, but the consitancy BOTH Colin and Troy put in for the 2002 title is unrivaled, it wasnt full of crashes and injuries, it was a fight every race weekend. Both are true legends but considering the high votes Bayliss has received i'm surprised Colin isn't 2nd place.

@ rrzxr21
I certainly hope that we can agree that the 2002 World Super Bike Championshop and the 2009 World Super Bike Championshiop are 2 years that should be remembered. Who cares if Bayliss or Spies is the best. We should all take care of the fact that 2002 and 2009 have a special place in the hearts of race fans. Good stuff. Make no mistake.

rrzxr21 -probably worth noting Toseland has also beaten Bayliss in a straight fight in the championship.

And is one of only two riders that has won c/ships on two different makes.
Bayliss still got my vote though. Hard riding, fair, very competitive, highly respected by his rivals and a nice guy to boot!

In my opinion it is a simple numbers game - Bayliss won the title three times in the decade and that for me is enough to make him the best. The fact that he also won the most races in this period backs this up for me as well.

As someone who's bored to death with polls and statistics, I vote for the great Lithuanian rider I P Freeli.

His performance at Brooklands on the Scott Squirrel in 2003, battling the Bulgarian Nokabolokoff, was simply breathtaking.
