Hhhhmmmm.....a bit over ambitious I recon Makoto! lol!

If there were any races in Japan, I would go for maybe a podium but as there aren't any, I will say that he will be lucky to finish in the top 10 all season.

I wish him all the best but this year WILL BE his last in WSBK.

Retirement becons.

aeolus - he did play with Rossi. If I remember correctly Tamada was leading, or at the very least close to leading. And then as usual (for those years) Rossi burned off into the distance on the last few laps and took the potential win away from Tamada. Tamada said something about "This race he play with me, but next race I will play with him!" and he did. He won the next time out.

He's capable of winning races, he just needs good equipment. Anyone who believes that the Kawasaki was/is good equipment doesn't follow motorcycle road racing.

I've got an idea. Lets arrange a poker game (maybe supercasino.com could arrange it (see picture above), then he could play with Rossi again (That's the only playing with Rossi he'll ever do) and with some luck win some cash. Then he could repay Pro Ride. Unfortunately Tamada, this is all you will have to repay them with. Wins just aren't going to happen. This is not a slight on Tamada, the problem will be with the quality of people in this team. Tamada is probably capable (no definitely) of winning if he had a sharp team to install the lost confidence. Equipment in WSBK is basically very similar, it's the people that make the difference between Top 5 and bottom 5. :-o

Yes, I think he said: Rossi was humiliating me. That was in Estoril 2004 (Tamada was at Camel Honda) and next race was in Motegi and Tamada demolished Rossi in that race.

Matt

You're right, that was between Estoril & Motegi's races in 2004.
Tamada finished 2nd in Portugal & said at the post race conference that Rossi was playing with him during the whole race (a fact),& he'd payback him at home...Thing done two weeks later. that's quotes & races facts nothing more or less.

For 2010, It will be very hard for him if the team is as lame as predicted...
Nontheless, we never know. There is always some good surprise every season.
Fingers crossed for him coz' he is an awesome rider (pure style) when he's confident.

But I respect people saying bad things about him after so many years of disgrace.
I really appreciate him, that's why I support him. Logic
