WSBK » Laconi 'not ready' for racing return


DFX Corse reveal Regis Laconi will not be riding for them in the 2010 World Superbike Championship.

I'm glad he's not rushing it

It's important to heal properly after such a severe injury. I'm glad he's not trying to come back too soon.

And it would be good to see Lavilla back. The guy was a good racer.

Hope Laconi makes a full recovery, agreed it would be good to see Lavilla back in WSB. Beleive he worked with the Derbi 125 team in 2009.

Lavilla would do fine - he's probably about the most capable rideless guy right now, and he knows the team. Laconi might be wise not to return - a second spinal injury is more likely to be lasting, and he's had a good career but is at the stage where thinking about other options might be worthwhile.

Maybe Lavilla, would be good to see McCoy back since he was unceremoniously dumped at the last minute by Triumph, he is fit and was a force in supersport last year, also has won a race on a Ducati...
