Looks like it should be a great weekend of racing at Portimao. This little practice result will really boost the confidence of JT, hopefully he will get the Yamaha up front for the race.

It's going to be a very long season for Vermi and Sykes on the green career killer.

Haga should be able to put it together come the final session, he always appears like a sandbagger.

the only reason james is going so fast is because of the sterling development work Elbowz put in last year

or atleast this is what the americans would have you believe...

i believe hes just effing lucky and leon will show him the way home come race day!!! :)

Good run from James, and disappointing from Crutchlow, considering that he ran this course last year.

Man, Haga really struggles on this track. Hopefully he can recapture his race 2 form from last year. And speaking of Haga... did I miss something? Where's Xaus?

lol never expected Toseland to set the tone at this stage, my last post seems way too long for JT to gentle the R1, seems the Yamaha soften up the power of the Bike i guessed, to make it manageable. Hope this will be the Sign for the R1 to make a statement. Its a good sign indeed now that even crutchlow well inside the top 10. I am still expecting Crutchlow to improve since his the aggressive driver between the Yamaha drivers.
