Widz, you are a grade a plank! JT lost out to getting into the final shoot out by 1000th of a second! He's just got to get a bit smarter about how this superpole qualifying works. He did what Corser did, set a fast time & sat in the garage Corser made it by 2000th's & Lanzi squeaked in at the death.
Gonna be some mighty close racing if superpole is anything to go by.

"I think Cal Crutchlow is a genuine contender for Moto GP. Yeah i can hear the laughter now."

Well no laughter from Herve Poncharal seeing as Crutchlow already has a provisional Tech 3 contract for next year. Like I say, team managers can see his potential, even if some Crash posters can't.

Great Pole run by Cal. But do not bet against Haga at this place. He even had Spies covered here last year. And that took some doing. I look for Haslam to quietly let this one sort itself out and podium twice. There will be a lot of frustrated guys trying to make up for lost ground and Valencia is no place for that. More than one championship has been lost at Valencia.

I don't know El Bigonio, it's almost like Haga and Checa have traded places this year. Then you have the Aprilia, Suzuki and the BMW working better than last year. Something strange with even Fabrizio not able to qualify toward the top on the factory Duck.

Good job Cal.

Cal Crutchlow is a talent, no question. But he still has a ways to go to be top of the Superbikes. He's a few years behind Spies in this regard. If Herve Poncheral wants him for 2011, it will be for a Moto2 ride, if their chassis doesn't throw everyone into the gravel first. Advice to young Cal: stay right where you are, get on top of the Superbike and then consider your next move. Remember, Spies had put that bike (with 7 bhp less) on pole at all three of the first races in 09 and won three of the six...
