Chaz Davies storms to the Supersport podium in Spain

Sort Comments: Oldest | Newest

Congrats Davies.

I hope this is the beginning of consistent good results for you.

Good luck.

Does anyone with more racing experience can clarify why do the WSS racers go into a dogfight so early in the race wearing out their tires and making it easier on the front runner to pull away?

Why not stick to the back of the faster guy until the proper time to make the move comes to you?

Maybe is their racing heart. :D

Maybe the guy following thinks "Damn! This guy is slow ! He's holding me up ! I need to catch the leader!" and goes in for the kill. Once he's made the pass, this time the rider who's just been passed thinks the same way - and it goes on and on...

It's got something to do with the bikes being evenly matched more or less. Maybe a relative lack of experience could play a part too.

I agree with WABOCF: and by the way, it's been the same in Moto2 at Losail, with Alex Debon launching silly desperate attacks on the rider ahead of him, whether it's been Elias or Cluzel, without being able to ride any faster once ahead, hence helping Tomizawa to clear off.
