If WSBK is dying with a 24-bike field, how is MotoGP surviving on 17? WSBK has at least 8 potential race winners at each meeting, and only a handful of genuine backmarkers. The grid looks a bit sp**** at the start, but it's only an issue beyond that if you get a multiple collision at the start. Just about every racing series is running low on entries right now, the recession is only getting worse.

Well, time to attract more manufacturers.Next year should improve a bit with the entry of KTM factory squad. Other potential entries should be MV Agusta, Norton (with the rotary bike, hopefully production bike would be ready), and maybe Bimota?
