Why wait,let him race after the summer brake and finish the rest of the season off.It won't take him very long to get back up to speed and i think the factory Ducati team could do with some help ! Shame Foggy can't make a comeback,now that would be interesting :)

Ye fabrizio's title is basically over why not either run a third bike or sack michel?! would love to see bayliss back in wsbk, can that series get any better?!

This is a vanity thing basically. He's seen FabHag foul up and thinks he could do better and be the saviour of Ducati.

Don't be tempted Mr Bayliss. You retired after a great career and in relatively good shape. Any big accidents at your age and you're not going to get up so quickly. Far better to retire as a matter of choice rather than through injury. Stay well and on the sidelines. No point risking life and limb now.

Has not occurred to anyone he could be being lined up as a super sub for the Factory GP team, as Vale is a little last minute in his decisions and they most likely don't want to end up relying on Hayden to carry the mantle :-o, or equally being held to ransom by VR
