I remember when Toy was a baby faced kid in the AMA series. He showed a strong drive to win then and with retirement not far away I wouldn't bet against him taking one last title next year.
BMW doesn't enter a series to finish second best and have made real strides to the top this year.

He's had an amazing career racing bikes. He's taken the BMW to a competitive state. Troy just lacks a little bit of that push it to the limit to become a race winner and champion in this very competitive superbike class. He's going to have to take some big risks if he wants to start winning. The BMW is fast, but it's not the clear fast bike enough to just take him easily to the front with run away victories, he's going to have to push the comfort zone if he wants to win.
