The Ten Kate Honda rider returns to victory circle at Brno... despite distracting himself before the race.

@Hookem

I have to wonder too at the lack of support here, not just for Rea but for relatively successful GP riders like Bradley Smith too. On the other hand, I'd rather that than the over the top knicker-wetting hysterical jingoist reaction of certain US fanboys when Spies got his first MotoGP podium. It made me proud not to be an American.

I could say something about some over the top knikcer-wetting jingoist reaction to anything Mr. Spies does by other type posters.

But to me this is about Mr. Rae. I just hope they can get some consistencey with the Kate ten Honda. Johnny Boy is smoking fast.

LOL at the "win or bust" Now that was funny.

Proud to be a Texan !!!!!!

Oh don't worry about Jonathan. To understand this percieved "lack of support" you have to understand the mentality of the Northern Irish person. Relative to other places we are quite reserved and understated but be in no doubt fiercely proud of, and loyal to, our "heroes" in a way that is much more enduring and real. Maybe that's why our boys do so well, we don't lump pressure on them to achieve only to give them a kicking when they have a bad day.

Jonathan is OUR hero, we don't really care what the rest think.

GO ON SON!!!!!!!!!

Two good rides from Rea, who i have always regarded a a class rider. What a contrast to his highly regarded team-mate who didn't complete a lap in either race and is languishing down in eighteenth in the c/ship standings.

Rea has a team mate? Oh yeah, that Max bloke isn't it?

Hookem, I'm guessing the screen name places you in the Austin area? Well, I'm a Brit living in Texas and I'm very proud of Johnny's performance and back him like I do every other Brit. He doesn't create the sort of controversy surrounding the likes of JT or Cal, but he's a very fine rider and gets on with it in a much quieter and more understated way that perhaps means he doesn't create the kind of stir some of the other riders do. That doesn't mean he doesn't have equally strong support, it's just that his fans and detractors don't make such a big thing about it.
