WSBK » Biaggi: 'No desire' at all for MotoGP return

2010 World Superbike Championship leader Max Biaggi admits that even if he clinches the crown this year and even if the rumours about Aprilia stepping up transpire to be true, he has 'absolutely no desire' to return to MotoGP

Obviously, why would he want to be an also-ran in MGP when he can be top dog in WSBK which, btw, is much more competitive and entertaining than MGP these days.

If I were in his shoes I'd think exactly the same.

Rossi arrived in GP and took Biaggis limelight. He's now getting the kind of respect that he was looking for in MGP, as racer said above hes now top dog in WSBK and the guy everyone looks up to.

On another note, the Lorenzo vs Rossi saga isnt too different to the Biaggi vs Rossi saga in reverse. New kid bursts into the sport and starts outperforming the seasoned veteran. Im not saying Rossi is going to crack like Biaggi did but with rossi testing superbikes and saying that he'd like to do a one of WSBK ride some day it makes you wonder if Rossi has had enough of Lorenzo and reckons he can go to WSBK and start winding Biaggi up again.

Rightly so, WSB is the top class in my book! You will gain more respect in a series with over 10 riders that stand a chance of winning, rather racing in moto gp where theres only 3/4 riders that you have to beat for the race win. WSB is top dog! Just because moto gp has the fastest bikes, does not mean its the best series. I honestly dont understand anyone who can seriously say moto gp is more exciting racing than WSB. And as a bonus WSB has 2 races whoich makes it even better!

Good choice Max, you know where its at!

Why would Biaggi want to go back to MotoGP.For the first time in a long time you can see Max is enjoying himself. He doesn't have the aggravation of Rossi in his face at every meeting, and lets be honest Rossi will be jealous as hell if Max takes the title. Max will be Italy's only world champion and will get the adoration of the Italian fans, and he's done it on an Italian machine. Well done Max, you deserve it 100%.

Medium size fish in a little pond.
The prima donna of all prima donna's, he gets attention in WSB his last years in GP he got none. What factory would employ him?
Pramac said they were looking at him (he was signed to them when Monitron run pramac, not the pons squad)so Biaggi jumped into their arms but in the end they didnt want him. Your good Max but no where near the best and well past yours. Keep topping the retirement fund up in the little league.
