I would like to know how many laps at that pace he did, either way this kid belongs in gp next year. It would probably help his cause to actually win a wsbk race though! Good luck tomorrow Cal.

Yes well done crutchlow. But its no good sticking a few fast laps in on qualifiers, when your currently not able to string 30 laps together. Qualifying well does not win races. I hate to say it, but the hard work will be wasted after the first few corners and he'll end up 5th-10h after half a lap anyway, and then have to work hard for a top 5. Shame really.

HJ, Cal said that the R1 is a handfull during the race. Look at Brno, very fast in qualy but in the race he had problems...........

The R1 i a biatch from the startline, they told on Eurosport that both Cal and James used 4 clutches in the afternoon (on thursday on the airstrip) to get a good start.....we'll see if all that practise works :)

What the hell has people got against Cal Crutchlow for F**ks sake. The guy has achieved something that no one has ever done and only 3 people before me have bothered to come on here and say anything.I have said from the start of the season he will be in Moto GP next year and this proves he belongs there.I don't care that he hasn't won a race He is bloody fast. The wins will come he is the next big name in Moto GP.Tell me at the end of next season i was wrong. If that turns out to be the case.I don't think it will.See you in 12 months time

If one has to win a race to make it motogp then a lot of those 250ers gotta get the he11 out 'cause Crutchlow is 2009 World Super Sport champ and his R6 can run circles on the moto2 honda field.

He sure is faster than those buy a ride mofos.

This is really something special. God knows how fast he could be on a GP bike. The front-runners in WSBK would be good in GP. Biaggi - we already know how good he has been in GPs. Haslam - would love to see him in GPs, but can't see any potential seats for next year. Crutchlow - Tech 3 Yamaha ought to snap him up. Checa - same as Biaggi. Corser - who knows?? Camier - deserving of a GP ride.
