Eugene Laverty hopes his necessary last lap pass on Kenan Sofuoglu will set the tone for his World Supersport title chances over the final few races.

Remember when Sofuoglu went up to WSBK?
He really struggled.

He appears to be a 600cc specialist and will no doubt stay in WSS just as long as he keeps winning.
I really hope Eugene can win it this year and move up to Moto 2 or else I can't help thinking WSS 2011 will be a replay of 2010.

9 consecutive WSS titles!! guess the yamaha ridden by crutchlow last year was a CBR6 with yamaha stickers then! my bad doh!

anyway this article was about Laverty NOT the bike! and that was an amazing ride. not shouted and cheered at the TV like that since Foggy won his first race on the RC45 at Monza!

If he isn't on a decent WSB next year there is no justice. why would he go to moto2 to ride another 600? he has already done 2 years in 250GP so knows how to set a bike up. WSB is his future atm

lol well i thought i made it clear when i wrote MANUFACTUERS title......obviously Cal won the RIDERS title on the R6. Hope that helps...please inform me if you need further clarity :)

Dont see Sofaglue goin up to superbikes. He made it clear that the bigger bikes arent suited to him so he most likely will stay or got to Moto2. Think Laverty should definitely try superbikes...preferably with a top team...maybe even the yam? :)
