its a shame cos he is a talented rider,just shows what a dog the honda really is,and if any of the rea bashers on here needed any proof of reas talents,or woes,listen to max, ,reas an unbelievable talent,(wish he was on an aprilla or an r1)

Kiyo had a horrible season last year on Ten Kate Honda and said it's down to him that results are poor.

Max says the opposite.

Excuse or not? Hopefully not. He proved he could be fast on Suzuki, but the past means nothing right now.

If CBR1000RR isn't an competetive bike, why is it doing good in STK1000 and leading BSB? "All the other Honda riders" is just Broc Parkes, who's had injuries in a team that's new to SBK.

Max just couldn't get himself to suit the bike. He should go ride something else, maybe a privateer BMW as jimmy says.

Private BMW or Yosh Suzuki?

Rea is unbelievable no doubt about that....but i think the best thing for Max is to leave after this year. No point wsting time on this bike coz he is talented. I hope Tosland can get back on the TK for next year

kiyo had two years on it, checa had two years on it ,kenan sog had a year on it,max is on it, hm plant done wsbk silverstone on theirs(not slow bikes)but failed dramaticly at world level, that just leaves rea , doing the best he can, on what hes got, max says hes unbelievable on it , maybe he is, why should i disagree with a top wsbk rider.

Leon Haslam did have some good results on the Stiggy Honda last year though, and both Checa and Kiyo took race wins (5 between them) in '08. Bike is clearly better suited to some tracks than others, but you could say that about just about all of the bikes, even the Aprilia.

I'm still not convinced Max is 100%, physically or mentally. He had 2 horrendous injuries last year and was binned by Alstare for not being fit supposedly.

"If CBR1000RR isn't an competetive bike, why is it doing good in STK1000 and leading BSB?"

Because STK1000 and BSB are not WSBK.

That's like saying since Sykes did the double in BSB on the Kawaskai that he should be doing the same in WSBK. That's ridiculous. STK1000 and BSB are not on par with WSBK - it's not even close.

@RawDawg

Of course STK1000 nor BSB isn't SBK. But in those categories, CBRs are competetive against other bikes of the same tuning level. So Max can't just say that CBRs aren't competetive against others, which he seems to be implying by saying "All the other Honda riders".
