I dont think he will be a title challenger, or even a front runner. Too many motogp riders have come across with lots of hype and failed (Abe, Okada, Barros, Hopkins, Mccoy etc etc)

Maybe an odd win, but hes no Biaggi.

And hes got a serious attitude problem.

"turning his back on Grand Prix Racing"
Like Checa, Biaggi and Guintoli it doesnt want him. If he could get a ride he would be there. He has said he is hoping this will get him back there. Dont hold your breath Marco

If Tardozzi goes to Yamaha where does that leave Toseland? Remember when the little man couldn't even greet Tose in the paddock after he beat Regis to the title in 2004?

@ Mick (unregistered not unusual)

"turning his back on Grand Prix Racing"

And your knowledge of MotoGP is what ????

In 2012 there will be far more MotoGP seats than there are now with the new rules. Marco M' knows that if he has a good season in WSB he will get a call to go back to MotoGP under the new 1000cc rules.

Re Tardozzi, did I hear during commentary today that BMW are clearing out all non german staff and going to all german team. If so, where they gonna find any decent riders upto the job? Also, my guess on the Toseland question is back on a Honda next year

Toseland is getting kicked to the curb. No one's fault but little 'ol Jimmys.

If JT was setting WSBK on fire like so many of his fellow Countrymen assured us he would, there is no doubt that Marco wouldn't be going to Yamaha, and that JT would be heading back for the 1000cc MotoGP bikes.

JT's failure is a perfect place for Marco....just like the Hayate Marco will show up fit, motivated, and ready to race. Tardozzi will reign him in and I look to see him back in MotoGP on the Tech3 bike when the rules change.

Good for Marco....Good riddance to JT.
